Calculate salary from gross, take-home pay or the employer’s total budget.
Select the pillar II contribution rate that applies on the payment date. 0% means no pillar II contribution is withheld from this payment; it is not a rate everyone may freely choose. The calculator does not check eligibility to stop or resume contributions.
Enter 0 if another employer applies your allowance. Otherwise enter the amount in your application. This is always a monthly amount, including in annual mode. In 2026 you may enter €0–700 per month. In 2025 the applied amount is also limited by the calculated maximum of up to €654, which decreases as income rises. Other income may affect your final 2025 annual tax calculation. The initial value follows each selected year’s rules; a manually entered amount is a shared cap. The allowance cannot exceed the tax base after employee contributions.
In the month you reach pension age, the 1.6% employee contribution continues until month-end. If you are calculating salary for that month, enable employee unemployment insurance using the button above. For the following month and later months, disable it. The 0.8% employer contribution is separate. Annual mode assumes identical months and cannot model a change during the year.
If monthly gross pay is below the statutory base, the employer generally pays social tax on at least 820 euros in 2025 or 886 euros in 2026. This increases employer cost but does not change the employee’s net pay.
