Volume of solids: Explanation and example

Find the volume of a box, cylinder or sphere.

Explanation and example

Box: a × b × c. Cylinder: πr²h. Sphere: 4πr³/3. Select the solid before entering dimensions. For a cylinder, enter radius r in field a and height h in field b; for a sphere, field a is radius r.

Example: a 2 × 3 × 4 box has volume 24 cubic units; a cylinder with r = 2 and h = 3 has 12π.
