Children’s clothing and shoes: less size confusion
Following your suggestions, I added children’s clothing, expanded shoe-size comparisons and made the explanations easier to read.
An idea from a young mum
My daughter liked the clothing calculator: it helps decide what to take into the fitting room or buy for someone close to you. She then suggested children’s sizes. With a baby at home, that question comes up often — and a new calculator took shape.
Children’s clothing: six brands
You can now compare PEPCO, H&M, Lindex, Sinsay, Reserved and Zara charts. Enter height or a known size. Add chest, waist and hip measurements for a more informed choice: we use them where the brand publishes the corresponding measurements. Missing data stays missing.
Shoes: size systems and brands together
The shoe calculator now combines conversions between size systems and lengths with charts from Rieker, Nike, adidas, Salomon, Merrell, PEPCO, Salamander and Skechers. Adult and children’s groups are available where suitable charts exist. When comparison is unavailable, the result explains why: a size may be outside the chart’s range, or only labels may be published without confirmed foot lengths.
Easier to scan and read
Results are more compact, with logos to help you find each brand. Three colour palettes support light and dark modes. The “How we calculate” pages have clearer spacing, measurement advice and a separate limitations section. Everything is available in four languages.
Charts help; trying things on matters
Sizes remain a guide: fit depends on the particular item, model and shoe last. Check the product’s chart and try it on where possible. If something feels awkward or you find a useful official chart, write through the contact page — your observations help the project grow.
